Field note / 02 · First-session route
Progress without chasing every system.
Quick answer: choose a usable clan, follow the starter quests, work toward Breathing training at level 25, then prepare for the reported level-45 Final Selection gate if you want the Slayer path. These are sequel reports; the first game's route differs.
Keep the next gate in view
| Stage | Reported next step | Your planning check |
|---|---|---|
| Character setup | Clan rolls in Customize | Read skills before spending more spins. |
| Starting area | Quest progression around Windy Peak | Track the active objective rather than wandering between NPCs. |
| Level 25 | Visit a Breathing trainer | Read the trainer's current currency and material requirements. |
| Level 45+ | Prepare for Final Selection as a human | Minimum entry level is not a promise that a solo run is easy. |
Choose your path before spending materials
The launch-day progression report treats Demon conversion as a separate route: Final Selection requires a human character. Decide which route you want before following Muzan's transformation quest. For the Demon collection objective, see the Spider Lily field note.
Our planning advice: record the next trainer's requirements before farming. A short list of the exact materials you still need is more useful than a generic instruction to grind. Prices or objectives displayed in the live game take precedence over a launch guide.
Prepare movement as well as damage
Community launch coverage highlights Double Jump and Wall Climb as practical early skill investments. Movement also matters when following trainers and traversing the world. Review your available points before committing them; this is a progression aid, not a tested optimal build.
Practise a short sequence against manageable enemies: defend, make space, attack during an opening and disengage. If an objective is failing, distinguish the cause before repeating it. An unmet quest condition needs a different fix from not surviving a fight.
A first-session checklist

This is a synthesis of published community reporting, not our personal playthrough. Older early-access articles disagree on some intermediate quest levels; those details are deliberately not used as fixed instructions.
